manhasset neck jets out into the long island sound. this beach is the west coast of manhasset bay and from this coast you can see the east coast which resides on great neck.

the speak easy is an exclusive, hidden club in the back of the fitzgerald's hotel. the club requires a password to enter and it changes from time to time. there's gambling, illegally imported alcohol and jazz music. it's slightly reminiscent of the prohibition era, hence the name.

the fitzgerald hotel is a chain of five star hotels owned by the fitzgerald family, this being one of the many current locations of the hotels. it's mainly for tourists, but there are a few penthouse apartments at the top of the building.

manhasset park isn't the normal wooded kind of parks, it's more of a plot of land with a few large open sports fields and a playground. the fields are used for mainly polo, rugby and soccer. there are also a few walking trails.

the manhasset county club sits along the coast of manhasset bay. it has a nice restaurant, golf courses, trails, tennis courts, a fitness center and two pools.

great neck extends into the long island sound to form the east coast of manhasset bay. from the coast you can see the west coast of manhasset neck.

little neck bay divides great neck and flushing, queens. just as manhasset bay, it's an extension of the long island sound.

little neck coffee shop is a little cafe down by litte neck bay. it's a very artsy shop and often will have open mic night or other live entertainment. upstairs is treated like a gallery and local artists will put their artwork for sale there.

great neck park is a more wildlife type of park. it's more wooded than manhasset park and has quite a few more playgrounds. it's perfect for walking the trails or having a picinic.

the great neck market is a large outdoor market. it's comprised of many small booths or little shops selling everything from food to clothing. it's usually open rain or shine, and many of the booths have small walk-in areas.

manhattan is just a train ride away from long island. if you want to see the real glitz and glam of the city, here would be the destination you're looking for. broadway shows, landmarks, parties, shopping, whatever it be you're looking for, you're sure to find it here.

brooklyn is the most artsy of the boroughs. whether you're looking for a gallery or just a cultured coffee shop, this would be the place to go for. you can also find coney island here.
